Features

HOOK KEEPER:  Each rod has a hook keeper and nickel silver winding check.
TIP OVER BUTT FERRULE DESIGN: This design provides for the very smooth continuation of action and allows for a smaller diameter ferrule which provides for a more delicate fine appearance.
METAL REEL SEATS: I have searched for the best anodized metal reel seats for heavier weight rods and salt water rods.
EXTRA SELECT CORK GRIPS: I use the very best cork rings I can find and shape them into either cigar or full wells design.
NICKEL SILVER FITTINGS WITH "BLOOD OF THE LION" WOOD INSERTS: The reel seats are very finely engineered to meet my requirements for quality and the wood inserts made of BLOOD OF THE LION wood make my reel seats the very best.
ROD TUBES:  I use cordura cloth over a pvc shell.  The rod is protected with internal dividers in each tube eliminating the need for a cloth sack.
MEASURE MARKS: Some of my rods have a "measure mark" at various lengths that can be used to measure the length of your fish prior to releasing. This measure mark is made with gold wire at at usual lengths of 14", 16", or 18".  This is available when requested.
SNAKES AND STRIPPERS:   I usePac-Bay triple chromed stainless steel snakes and strippers, including the tip top.  Each is one size oversized for smooth shooting of fly line.
INSCRIPTION: Each rod is hand inscribed with the necessary information to add that detailed custom crafted feature. Example:

      Sierra Classic by ROK

          8' 4wt 42M 4 PC #301

NICKEL SILVER WINDING CHECK: Note the epoxy on the shoulder of the winding check.....this is three coats of epoxy to provide for a smooth delicate stepdown to the rod blank.
